Aston Villa defender Ashley Young has aimed a dig at Arsenal for their wild celebrations after they secured a 1-0 crucial win on Saturday, March 19.

Bukayo Saka was Arsenal's match hero during the clash staged at Villa Park as his solitary goal helped the Gunners to cement their place in the top four.

Mikel Arteta's charges were undoubtedly the dominant side as Villa struggled to unlock the visitors' compact defence.

Bernd Leno sparks Arsenal celebrations

Despite Arsenal being in control for the better part of the match, Villa nearly hurt them with a stoppage-time equaliser.

However, Bernd Leon, who was the stand-in goalkeeper did enough to save the 94th-minute effort to spark celebrations shortly after when the referee blew the full-time whistle.

Arsenal players then stayed out on the pitch for some time afterwards to applaud the away end as they sang along with chants.

Ashley Youngs slams Arsenal

But speaking after the match, Young expressed reservation with Arsenal's conduct after the victory, claiming their opponents celebrated like they had won the league.

"You saw the way they celebrated, to be honest it was like they won the league. But it shows they found it tough," the former Man United star noted.
"We want to be in those European places, we want to get the club back there, and everyone’s got that ambition to get the club back there. So we want to make it a tough place to come, but we want to be winning games as well," he added.

Bukayo Saka makes EPL history

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Bukayo Saka's solitary goal at Villa Park was all that Arsenal needed to down a stubborn Aston Villa Side on Saturday, March 19.

The special moment saw the Englishman get his name in history books, with the landmark goal earning him a place in history books.

The goal was Arsenal's 2000th in the era of the Premier League, a moment that Saka described as "special" and an "honour."
