Arsenal is set to miss out on keeping wonderkid, Matteo Guendouzi permanently as the French midfielder is set to seal a deal with Ligue one side Olympique Marseille.

The 22-year-old has been impressive for the French giants since he joined Marseille on loan from the Gunners at the start of the season.

According to a report via Daily Mail, Marseille president Pablo Longoria has confirmed that Matteo Guendouzi will put pen to a permanent deal with the French Club until 2025.

Guendouzi was exiled from the Arsenal first team after the midfielder had a falling out with the Gunners manager, Mikel Arteta.

Arsenal ready to spend big for top targets

Meanwhile, Arsenal is reportedly preparing for the summer transfer window as the London club has lined up some top players they expect to sign ahead of next season.

According to Team Talk, the Gunners are readying a move for Robert Lewandowski amid claims he is nearing the Bayern Munich exit door.

Lewandowski has spent eight seasons for Bayern Munich and has scored a whopping 333 goals in 362 appearances since joining the Bavarians from rivals Borussia Dortmund.

The Polish striker is considered the best replacement for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who left Arsenal to team up with Barcelona after a fall out with Mikel Arteta.

earlier, Sports Brief reported Thomas Partey has been shortlisted for Arsenal Player of the month for February 2022 following his outstanding performance for the club.

The 28-year-old played an influential role for the Gunners as they amassed crucial points in the Premier League in the month under review.

Partey is competing against teammates Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, and Gabriel dos Santos Magalhães with the winner selected by Arsenal fans through voting.
