  • Wolves vs Arsenal Premier League fixture is set for the Molineux as both teams continue their fight for a top-four spot
  • Following the departure of Aubameyang to Barcelona, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta will have Lacazette and Nketiah at his disposal
  • It will be a tough one for Wolves as well following the departure of impressive star Adama Traore who also moved to Barcelona

Premier League action continues on Thursday night as Wolverhampton Wanderers and Arsenal renew hostilities at Molineux after the winter break.

While Arsenal are yet to play a match since their goalless draw with Burnley, Wolves were dumped out of the FA Cup by Norwich over the weekend.

It will be a tough encounter for Bruno Lage as his side already lost Adama Traore to Barcelona as they will miss his trademark bursting runs down the right-wing.

They were far from impressive against Norwich right in their backyard as they could not string passes in the final third before crashing out in front of their own fans.

A half-time header by Kenny McLean was enough to take the Canaries through to the FA Cup fifth round while Lage’s men will hope to bounce back against the Gunners.

Just two points are separating these two sides on the Premier League standings as Arsenal are sixth with 36 while Wolves are in the eighth position with 34 points.

For a side with a realistic shot of making the top four, boasting the third-worst goals tally of 19 pinpoints where Wolves' downfall may lie, but only Manchester City (14) have shipped fewer goals than the Molineux outfit (16) this term.

Sports Mole reports that Wolves have only managed to score eight goals at home this season as they have only managed one win in the last four Premier League matches.

On the other hand, Arsenal's lack of attacking inspiration is often well-documented following the departure of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Mikel Arteta only has Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah as his attacking options which could see them struggle for a goal considering their recent performances.

Wolverhampton Wanderers possible starting lineup:

Sa; Kilman, Coady, Saiss; Semedo, Neves, Dendoncker, Moutinho, Ait-Nouri; Jimenez, Podence

Arsenal possible starting lineup:

Ramsdale; Cedric, White, Gabriel, Tierney; Xhaka, Partey; Saka, Odegaard, Martinelli; Lacazette

Man City 2-0 Brentford

Sports Brief earlier reported that Man City vs Brentford Premier League clash staged at Etihad Stadium on Wednesday night, February 9, saw the league leaders secure a routine victory.

Hot from their 4-1 weekend win over Fulham in the FA Cup, City were desperate to build on the momentum as they seek to reclaim the EPL title.

And Pep Guardiola's charges managed to prove why they are the team to beat in the title race as they stunned the Bees 2-0 at home.
