Thomas Partey is having a difficult week in his football career after exiting two competitions within two days for two different teams.

The Ghana international has seen things go from bad to worse for him after Ghana were eliminated from the Africa Cup of Nations on Tuesday and to him receiving a red card in Arsenal's 2-0 defeat to Liverpool on Thursday.

Fans of the club and some Black Stars supporters have reacted to Thomas Partey's sending off in the Caraboa Cup semi final.

"Thomas Partey run all the way from Cameroon to London just because of a Red Card?," wrote the Da Don on Twitter.
"Thomas Partey back so early Arsenal will have to postpone their next game due to a general sense of surprise," wrote Duncan Alexander.
"48 hours after Thomas Partey featured for the Black Stars against Comoros at the #AFCON2021, he finds himself on the bench against Liverpool tonight," wrote Owuraku Ampofo.

Goals from either side of the half from Diogo Jota ended Arsenal's quest for a silverware.

Earlier, SportsBrief.com reported that, Ghanaian midfielder, Thomas Partey, is having a week to forget after seeing red just 24 hours following the Black Stars' AFCON elimination.

The 28-year-old returned to England, after Ghana lost to Comoros at the Africa Cup of Nations, to rejoin his Arsenal teammates for the Caraboa Cup semi final game against Liverpool.

Partey, who was introduced in the game in the 75th minute, went into the books of the referee twice and that got him off in the 90th minute.
