AmaZulu FC have finally announced who their manager for the next season will be.
The KwaZulu-Natal club have opted to trust Brandon Truter with the task of managing the side for the next season.
Truter has served as the interim coach since March, after Benni McCarthy was let go by Usuthu. Under Truter’s leadership, Usuthu only lost one of the seven games. They drew three and won three.
IOL has now reported that AmaZulu have handed the reigns to Truter for the upcoming season.
“I can confirm that Brandon Truter has been given a permanent contract as first-team coach at AmaZulu FC. He has impressed us since taking over following the departure of Benni McCarthy in March. I can’t go into details about his contract but yes, Truter is our man,” AmaZulu spokesman Phumlani Dube said.
Stuart Baxter was also thought to be in the running for the position. Baxter is now being linked with the vacant managerial position at SuperSport United, The Citizen confirmed.

AmaZulu has been without a coach since the club parted ways with Benni McCarthy in March and have since appointed Brandon Truter in a caretaker role. The Usuthu are unbeaten under Truter and believes that he should be handed the role on a permanent basis.
The South African has now reported that former Kaizer Chiefs coach, Stuart Baxter, has been shortlisted for the vacant post. Baxter along with Brandon Truter, Kaitano Tembo and Steve Komphela have all been shortlisted.
Truter himself confirmed that Baxter was on the list for the post but added that he was focused on securing the job for himself permanently.

Amazulu interim coach Brandon Truter is a content man after a good start in Durban. Since joining Usuthu, the team is unbeaten in three matches, boasting two wins and conceding none in that run.
Truter headed down to KwaZulu-Natal after Benni McCarthy was shown the door over a month ago for poor results, which undermined the club's season.
Truter also inferred that there were elements associated with Amazulu not happy that he was the one chosen to replace McCarthy. He pointed to his experience and successes in the past as something that should have earned these people's respect.
