Williams played alongside the 22-year-old at the World Cup in Qatar and was astounded by the midfielder's abilities.

"I already had him signed before coming, because I had heard about him and had seen his goals. When I played the last national team break with him, he already surprised me a lot," said Williams on La Pizarra de Quintana as quoted by GHANASoccernet.

Williams said that when his colleagues asked who had surprised him, he mentioned Kudus.

"I think Ajax is starting to get too small for him, and hopefully he will make the leap to a big one soon."

Asked if he thinks Kudus can play for Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, Williams gave an emphatic 'yes' in reply.

"I see him playing in a great club. He has plenty of potential and a great margin for improvement; his full potential has not yet been seen at all. I think he may be one of the short-term revelations."

Liverpool reportedly sent scouts to Qatar to watch the player, as they prepare a bid for him ahead of the winter transfer window.

German giants Borussia Dortmund have reportedly opened talks for the services of the Ghanaian.

Mohammed Kudus on Dortmund's radar

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Ghana's World Cup star Kudus could make a big move to the German Bundesliga, as Borussia Dortmund are believed to be heavily interested in the Ajax forward.

The 22-year-old became the first Ghanaian to score two goals in a World Cup match, after he netted a brace in the Black Stars' victory against South Korea in the group stages.

According to Bulinews, Dortmund has now selected Kudus as their top transfer target, with BVB sporting director Sebastian Kehl having also been in contact with the player’s agent.
