Samuel Inkoom scored an exquisite freekick for Accra Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier League fixture against Elmina Sharks to open his goal-scoring account for the Phobians.

The former Asante Kotoko full-back needed just three games to break his goal-scoring duck for capital-based giants in his first league start.

In a video posted on Twitter, spotted by Sports Brief, Inkoom whipped in an unstoppable drive just in front of the Elmina Sharks box to give the defending league champions the lead.

The 32-year-old made his competitive bow for the Phobians last Sunday against his former employers Asante Kotoko in an epic Super Clash encounter at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Although Inkoom ended up on the losing side, he gave a good account of himself in the cameo appearance.

Hearts share the spoils with Elmina Sharks

Reigning Ghana Premier League champions Hearts of Oak split the points with relegation threatened Elmina Sharks at the Accra Sports Stadium on Easter Sunday.

It was the third encounter between the two clubs in the ongoing campaign with the Phobians recording wins in their earlier clashes.

Samuel Inkoom broke the game's deadlock two minutes into the tie however Elmina Sharks found the equalizer two minutes shy of the half hour mark through Michael Ohene Agyei Asamoah.

It proved to be the last goal of the encounter as Hearts of Oak failed to break down a resilient Elmina Sharks defence.

Inkoom makes debut for Hearts against Asante Kotoko

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Newly-signed Hearts of Oak defender Samuel Inkoom made his competitive debut for the Phobians against his former side Asante Kotoko in the Super Clash on Sunday.

Inkoom was announced as the club's latest addition 24 hours prior to the biggest league fixture in the Ghana Premier League - Asante Kotoko vs Hearts of Oak dubbed the Super Clash.

The 32-year-old right-back made his debut from the bench and was finally introduced as a substitute with Hearts chasing the game.
