Footages taken from the incident showed players from both sides scampering for safety as they fleed the pitch midway through the encounter.
According to Mirror UK, Mauricio Romero was hit with a bullet towards the end of the Federal A-League match.
Witnesses divulged the shooting started outside the stadium before continuing inside as hooligan home supporters tried to force their way into the match venue.
A video capturing Romero's shooting showed him in a yellow reflective jacket and could be seen grabbing his shoulder as he disappeared out of the camera.
Romero's club, Ferro, later confirmed the incident in a statement, revealing their manager had suffered a gunshot on his shoulder and he is out of danger.

The Sun claims Romero has since been interviewed by police after a complaint was filed.
