Gianluigi Buffon who is a legendary goalkeeper has stated emphatically that Cristiano Ronaldo's arrival then at Italian giants Juventus did not help the squad but only stopped them from being a unit.

Back in 2018, the Portugal international completed a sensational move to to Juventus from Real Madrid with the hopes that he would help the Old Lady to win the Champions League.

Having missed out in the 2017 final, Juventus fans were expecting Cristiano Ronaldo to help them land the trophy, but the Portuguese was unable to do so before he departed.

Did Cristiano Ronaldo win any title with Juventus?

Before moving to Manchester United this summer, Cristiano Ronaldo helped Juventus to win two Serie A titles even though he did not win the Champions League crown.

According to the report on Daily Mail and Mirror, Buffon who was in the dressing room during Ronaldo's first season at Juventus explained that the Old Lady lost the DNA.

''When I returned, I worked with CR7 for two years and we did well together, but I think Juventus lost that DNA of being a team.
''We reached the Champions League final in 2017 because we were a side full of experience, but above all we were a single unit and there was this competition for places within the group that was very strong. We lost that with Ronaldo.''
