Kaizer Chiefs have officially announced Tunisian tactician, Nasreddine Nabi, as their new head coach ahead of the 2024-25 season in the Premier Soccer League.

The Glamour Boys have been in the market for a new manager since they parted ways with Molefi Ntseki last October, with Cavin Johnson leading the team on an interim basis all season.

With several managers linked with the Soweto Giants, the club settled for the former AS FAR coach as their new gaffer.

Kaizer Chiefs confirmed Nabi's appointment with an official statement on social media on July 7, plus a video showing him meeting with them in their training camp in Turkey.

"We are delighted to welcome Coach Nasreddine Nabi to the Kaizer Chiefs family. We are happy to have you with us, Coach," the statement read.

Nabi has racked up many career achievements, winning back-to-back trebles with Young Africans SC before joining AS FAR Rabat in the Botola Pro League, per iDiskiTimes.

The Tunisian manager was close to winning the Moroccan league with AS FAR but finished second behind Raja Athletic Club, a team led by former Orlando Pirates coach, Josef Zinnbauer.

The former AC Leopards coach reportedly decided to join Amakhosi after losing the Throne Cup final to the league champions.

Grant Kekana linked with Kaizer Chiefs

Sports Brief earlier reported that Kaizer Chiefs are monitoring Grant Kekana, who has yet to agree on a new deal with Mamelodi Sundowns.

The South African defender is said to be in discussions with the Brazilians about extending his current contract but talks reportedly stalled.

Kekana's contract with the club expires in 2026, but he is said to be making efforts to attract an improved agreement with the champions.
