Following Madrid's victory over Barcelona in the El Clasico, it was disclosed that the Frenchman had suffered a stress fracture in the second metatarsal of his left foot, per the club's official website.

According to Super Sport, although a return timeline wasn't specified, reports hinted at a potential two-month absence.

During his time away from the field, the 23-year-old midfielder stirred worry among fans when he visited a zoo as part of his leisure activities.

He was seen in proximity to a lion, playfully referred to as Leo. Standing close to one of the world's most feared animals, Tchouameni spoke to a camera, detailing his experience at the zoo.

How fans reacted to Tchouameni's daring experience

Fans grew concerned about the risky nature of his adventure, especially filming in such proximity to the lion.

@IkechukwTony bluntly wrote:

"Somebody get him out of there."

A concerned Madridista, @UmeloPeculiar, pleaded with the Frenchman to get away from the lion:

"Tchouameni, please stay away from this Lion. The season hasn’t even gone far yet, please."

@mr_realtwist feared the worst for Tchouameni if things had gone south:

"What if the Lion bites him another four months out again?"

@Cass61489698, on the other hand, made light work of the whole incident:

"A crippled foot is not enough. Tchou is now trying to get eaten up by the lion."

@glaskara_, instead, chipped in with a joke:

"He's gonna win the duel, as always, anyway."
