Former Manchester United goalkeeper, David de Gea has sparked reactions among fans after he shared a video of himself in a new kit on Instagram.
The Spaniard is currently a free agent following his departure from Old Trafford at the end of last season.
According to Sky Sports, De Gea was released by United after the expiry of his contract with the Premier League giants.
However, weeks after his departure, the ex-Atletico Madrid shot-stopper is yet to find a new club.
De Gea was initially linked with a summer move to Real Madrid to replace Thibaut Courtois, but the La Liga club opted for a short-term move for Chelsea's Kepa.
Moves to Bayern Munich and Inter Milan were also mooted, but none saw the light of the day. Speculation has since been rife on the Spain international's next step in his career.
De Gea spotted in new kit
The Premier League winner has now been spotted in a new kit even as speculation grows on the next step of his career.
The Spain international took to his Instagram stories to share a video of himself donning the shirt.
While it was initially thought De Gea had landed a new club, it has since emerged that the kit he was wearing is from his eSports team.
The 32-year-old founded his own team called Rebels Gaming in 2021, with former teammates Bruno Fernandes and Juan Mata joining him as shareholders.
Why De Gea turned down Inter move
Sports Brief also reported on the reason why De Gea turned down a potential move to Inter Milan earlier this year.
