  • Real Madrid secured a resounding three-nil victory against La Liga club Girona
  • A horrendous tackle from Captain Nacho Fernandez marred the rather commanding win for Los Blancos
  • A video of forward Vinicius Jr provoking the fans of the Catalan club has emerged

Real Madrid's Vinicius Jr. has recently proven his love to be at the thick of things. The young Brazilian has consistently stolen the spotlight on numerous occasions, either on the field or off the pitch of play.

In the Spanish club's match round eight La Liga tie away at Girona, Vinicius Jr., who was only making his first start since his one-month injury, again stole the spotlight after teammate Nacho Fernandez's horrific tackle on forward Cristian Portu.

As reported by Diario AS, Nacho received his marching orders after committing to a needless sliding tackle that was enough to land the 31-year-old Portu at the hospital in Montilivi.

The Catalan club's fans, visibly upset by Nacho's actions, responded with an unpleasant '[Expletive] Real Madrid' chant when the match resumed. In response to the Girona fans' chants, Vinicius took matters into his own hands in a somewhat unassuming manner.

The 23-year-old forward as captured by DAZN Espana, was spotted gesturing to the fans.

Football Espana quoted the forward as saying: 'One, two, three goals' to the crowd before doing the same again on the bench with French defender Ferland Mendy.

The former Flamengo star who has struggled to find his form since the start of the season, will aim to coast Carlo Ancelotti's side to victory in their UEFA Champions League tie away at Serie A champions Napoli.

Vinicius Jr. names childhood idol

Sports Brief in a previous report stated Real Madrid attacker Vinicius Jr has named his childhood footballing hero.

The forward who recently returned from a lengthy injury layoff, disclosed his choice of his childhood footballing hero, amongst a few other topics in an interview.

The 23-year-old Brazilian snubbed Cristiano Ronaldo, whom he has often shown huge admiration and his long-standing rival Lionel Messi in favour of his Brazilian teammate Neymar Jr.
