There were some notable changes to United’s squad for the Burnley trip, as Jonny Evans came in for Lisandro Martinez, whose absence was confirmed late on Saturday.
Ten Hag also entrusted Hannibal Mejbri with a place in the starting XI, while Rasmus Hojlind and Marcus Rashford led a two-man attack up front.

The visitors were far from their best in the first half, and it took something special from their captain to hand them the lead.
Towards the end of the first half Jonny Evans was at it again with a lovely ball sprayed over the top for Bruno Fernandes.
The Portuguese star ran in behind the Burnley defence and struck a perfect volley to give his side the lead.
