All the 9 Injured Man United Stars Ahead of UCL Cracker vs Bayern Munich
- Manchester United are grappling with an injury crisis just five games into the new season
- Nine players are currently sidelined, and none of them is likely to feature against Bayern Munich
- Aaron Wan-Bissaka was added to the injury list earlier in the week and will be out for 'several weeks'
Erik ten Hag could be without as many as nine key Manchester United players ahead of his side's Champions League clash against Bayern Munich.
United are scheduled to face the Bundesliga giants on Wednesday night in Germany in their Group A opener of the continental showpiece.
The match comes at a time when the Red Devils are grappling with a string of injuries to top stars, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka being the latest to pick up an injury, per ESPN.
Wan-Bissaka is understood to be battling a hamstring injury picked during United's 3-1 loss against Brighton on Saturday and could be out for several weeks.
“Aaron Wan-Bissaka is set for a period on the sidelines after sustaining an injury during the closing stages of Saturday’s game against Brighton and Hove Albion,” read a United statement.
Which other United players are injured?
Wan-Bissaka now adds to a growing list of United stars, who are currently sidelined with injuries.
The duo of Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia are out, with their absence necessitating the signing of Reguilon from Tottenham on loan on transfer Deadline Day.
The Guardian reports that centre-back Raphaël Varane is also on the treatment table, while deadline-day signing Sofyan Amrabat has yet to make his debut due to a knock.
Summer arrival Mason Mount has not featured for the Red Devils since picking up an injury in August during their loss at Tottenham.
Youngsters Kobbie Mainoo, Amad Diallo and veteran goalkeeper Tom Heaton are also sidelined.
