Former Kaizer Chiefs coach Gavin Hunt has just landed a new job after being sacked by the Amakhosi side.

Hunt will form part of the team of experts to analyse, preview and review the upcoming EURO football tournament.

The European football spectacle will be hosted in the Netherlands and will get underway from 11 June until 11 July.

According to a statement released by SuperSport TV, the former Bidvest Wits and Moroka Swallows mentor will be part of the panellists.

Together with African greats such as Nigerian legend Austin Jay-Jay Okocha, Samuel Kuffour of Ghana and ex-Bafana Bafana star Benni McCarthy, Hunt’s tactical expertise will be vital for the sports broadcaster.

Mamelodi Sundowns and former Chiefs striker, Rhulani Mokwena, and assistant coach Shaun Bartlett have also been roped in.

Reads the statement:

“Several of Africa's former European stars will take their seats in the SuperSport studio for expert analysis, among them Austin Jay-Jay Okocha, Sammy Kuffour, Joseph Yobo and Yaya Touré.
“Among the additional pundits are several with European experience, among them Dwight Yorke (Aston Villa, Manchester United, Blackburn Rovers and others), Shaun Bartlett (FC Zurich and Charlton Athletic), Andre Arendse (Fulham and Oxford United), Matthew Booth (Rostov and Krylia Sovetov), Stanton Fredericks (FC Moscow, Grasshopper Zurich and Pierikos), and Dylan Kerr (Reading, Kilmarnock and others).
"Also joining the line-up will be SA hero Teko Modise, four-time coach of the year Gavin Hunt, plus Sundowns coach Rhulani Mokwena.”

Hunt’s appointment at the Randburg-based broadcasting giant comes just after he was fired by Amakhosi on Friday.

Chiefs planning for life after Hunt

Meanwhile, Briefly News reported that the Glamour Boys have appointed Molefi Ntseki as a technical advisor and head of youth development.

Club legend Rudolph Seale has reacted to Ntseki's appointment after the Chiefs' announcement. Seale spoke to Briefly News on Tuesday and said he doesn’t regret seeing the seasoned manager at Naturena because he will bring a wealth of experience.

Ntseki has been hired at the back of Hunt’s axing, and his appointment has fuelled the rumours that Chiefs are looking to bring former manager Stuart Baxter back to succeed Hunt.

Ntseki previously served at SAFA House under Baxter as his right-hand man, but it remains to be seen if the English tactician will make his return to the Soweto giants.
