Sweden legend, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has responded to Ghanaian midfielder, Enoch Kofi Adu, following his retirement message to the former AC Milan star.
Ibrahimovic announced his retirement before AC Milan's final game of the season against Hellas Verona. The ex-PSG forward retired at the age of 41.
Several sporting stars and clubs have sent their goodwill messages to the forward, including former Ghana U17 star Kofi Adu.
"It was a blessing sharing some of your career in soccer with you, it was a privilege to play on the same pitch against you, it's was an honor to share moment with you legend, your legacy lives on, enjoy your retirement Zlatan Ibrahimovic," wrote the Ghanaian footballer on social media.
Ibrahimovic responded with an emoji expressing his gratitude to Kofi Adu.
The 32-year-old, who now plays for Ekenas IF in Finland, played against Ibrahimovic in the UEFA Champions League during his days with Malmo FF.
The former OGC Nice midfielder spent most of his career in Sweden, where he played for the likes of Mjallby, AIK Stockholm and Malmo.
Eto'o pays tribute to Ibrahimovic
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that legendary Cameroonian footballer, Samuel Eto'o has paid a glowing tribute to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who announced his retirement at the end of the season.
In an emotional farewell at the San Siro before the match between AC Milan and Hellas Verona, the 41-year-old broke down in tears as he said his final goodbyes to the game.
Eto'o and Ibrahimovic spent years playing against each other, with the Cameroonian part of a deal that saw the Swede move to Barcelona in 2009.

FootballTanko names Ghana U23 squad
US Cremonese youngster, Felix Afena-Gyan has been excluded from the Black Meteors squad for the upcoming Africa U23 Cup of Nations in Morocco.
The former AS Roma forward was one of the players tipped to make the team as Ghana eyes a return to the Olympic Games.
However, in the provisional 29-man squad list released by coach, Ibrahim Tanko, the 20-year-old attacker was not named in the team.
