Cristiano Ronaldo is regarded as one of football’s greatest players, and one reason for that is how prolific the Portugal international is in front of goal.

Ronaldo has found some teams easier to play than others during his trophy-laden career, which has seen him feature for Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus and Al Nassr.

Ronaldo has scored goals for fun throughout his 20-year career against a range of opposition, but who are the teams he enjoyed playing and scoring against?

Here, Sports Brief, alongside Four Four Two reveals the top five clubs Cristiano Ronaldo has scored the most goals against in his professional career.

5. Athletic Bilbao and Malaga - 17 goals

Ronaldo's victims in La Liga during his time at Real Madrid include Athletic Bilbao and Malaga, where he scored 17 goals in 18 and 19 games, respectively.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner also scored two hattricks against both sides, making them the joint-fifth most goals scored against in his career.

4. Barcelona and Celta Vigo - 20 Goals

Ronaldo has had 20 goals against Real Madrid's main rivals Barcelona, which is the same number of goals he has scored against Celta Vigo.

However, the Portugal forward scored 20 goals in 13 games against Celta Vigo, compared to the 34 games it took him to reach the exact figure against Barcelona.

3. Getafe - 23 goals

Ronaldo's incredible goalscoring record is highlighted by his 14-game goal-scoring streak against Getafe.

The ex-Manchester United forward has three hattricks and five braces against Real Madrid's local rivals and has only failed to score in two of the matches against them.

2. Atletico Madrid - 25 goals

The majority of the time they faced each other, Ronaldo put Atletico to the sword. While he scored two hat-tricks against them in La Liga, it was in the Champions League that he most enjoyed playing Real Madrid's neighbours.

Ronaldo scored a hat trick in the 2016/17 Champions League semi-finals to effectively seal the tie with a 3-0 win in the first leg and send Real to the final.

Then, in the 2018/19 Champions League last-16, he scored three more goals to eliminate Atletico Madrid from the competition.

1. Sevilla - 27 goals

Ronaldo has four hattricks, two braces, and a four-goal return against Sevilla, making them his favourite team to play against in La Liga.

He also appeared in only 18 games against Sevilla, making the figure even more remarkable, and failed to convert in only three of the meetings.

Ronaldo welcomes top stars to Saudi

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Cristiano Ronaldo has welcomed the idea of top football stars of his ilk joining the Saudi Pro League.

Speaking on the prospect of seeing big players switch to the Gulf state, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner - who has predicted the Saudi League to be among the best in the world in the coming years - suggested their presence in the competition will help in improving its quality.

Ronaldo's former teammate, Karim Benzema has been heavily linked with a move to reigning Saudi champions, Al-Ittihad, while PSG superstar, Lionel Messi has also been tipped to join Al-Hilal.
