Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen has stated emphatically that Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis will be the one to decide his future at the club amid reports of a summer move to the Premier League.

The Nigerian star ended the 2022/23 Serie A season as the leading scorer with 26 goals, and became the first African in the history of Italian football to win the Golden Boot.

Before the end of the term, many clubs had been linked with Osimhen, with the likes of Chelsea, Man United, and Paris Saint-Germain reported to be interested in the Nigerian striker.

Recently, Bayern Munich chiefs made it clear that they won't be able to meet Napoli's asking price to buy Osimhen.

According to the reports on Complete Sports and Football London, the former Lille striker disclosed that he will accept any decision Napoli boss De Laurentiis should make on his future.

“I don’t know, the President has to decide that. I love the people of Napoli, they have shown me so much love. For me, I don’t mind, the President decides and I will just go with the flow.''

Osimhen pens heartwarming message

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Nigerian forward, Victor Osimhen says that being crowned Italian champions remains one of the happiest days of his life.

The Napoli forward ended the season in style after netting his 26th goal of the campaign in the 2-0 win over Sampdoria at the Diego Armando Maradona stadium.

Osimhen finished the 2022/23 Serie A season as the top scorer in the league and became the first African to win the golden boot in Italy.

According to Osimhen, he is proud of his achievements with Napoli and he struggled to find the words to describe his feelings.
