- Chelsea duo, Alvaro Morata and Cesc Fabregas have both been left out of the party

- Arsenal fullback Hector Bellerin was also another surprise omission from the list

Chelsea duo, Alvaro Morata and Cesc Fabregas have both been left out of Spain's World Cup squad that was released today, May 21.

Manchester United keeper David De Gea and City midfielder David Silva are also named in Spain manager Julen Lopetegui's 23-man party.

25-year-old Morata who was omitted from the just released list was Golden Boot runner-up with three goals at Euro 2016.

But he has struggled since his £60m switch from Real Madrid last summer.

Fabregas 31 as well as Arsenal right-back Bellerin, 23, was the biggest casualties in the list despite having featured for Spain in previous competitions.
