According to reports on Soccernet and El Pais, Chukwueze disclosed that he has gained many lessons from Robben.

Samuel Chukwueze hails Arjen Robben

“What I learned from Robben is that even though all the defenders knew what he was going to do, whenever he received the ball, he went inside.

“He hooked to his left and fired. It was fantastic. So fast! The defenders thought, ‘I know what he does, but maybe not today.’ And he did it again! Defences have blood in their veins too, they feel the need to move, and that leads them to deception.”

The Nigerian is expected to be in action for Villarreal on Sunday, June 4, in their last game of the season against Atletico Madrid.

Fans mock Samuel Chukwueze

Earlier, Sports Brief reported how Samuel Chukwueze was mocked by angry fans who were surprised to see that the Nigerian rejected a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid with the intention to remain at Villarreal.

The Nigerian star has been brilliant this season for Villarreal, netting 13 goals in all competitions, which has made him a target for those in charge at Real Madrid.

There have been reports that Los Blancos are ready to submit their offer this summer to possibly bring the pacey Nigerian to the Santiago Bernabeu.

He has made it clear that he is not interested in a move, stressing that he wants to help Villarreal next term.
