FootballManchester United to Pay Harry Maguire to Leave As ten Hag Continues With Rebuild
- Manchester United are ready to move Harry Maguire on in the upcoming window
- The club captain has rarely played this season since Erik ten Hag's arrival last year
- United have been linked with a move for Napoli centre-back Kim-Min Jae
Manchester United are reportedly prepared to offer Harry Maguire a huge amount of money to leave the club this summer.
Maguire has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford and it is understood that Erik ten Hag has no intentions of using him regularly next season.
The captain has dropped from the starting XI following the arrivals of Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez. In instances where both players were injured, ten Hag preferred to use Luke Shaw, a left-back, instead of Maguire.
Goal has reported the club is prepared to pay him close to 10 million Euros to leave and free up his huge wage bill.
Maguire signed a seven-year contract when he joined from Leicester City in 2019, and is believed to earn around 190,000 euros per week.
He has in the past been linked with possible moves to West Ham and Aston Villa. The 30-year-old has made 31 appearances in all competitions this season, according to Transfermarket.
Move for Kim-Min Jae
This comes at a time when Manchester Evening News reported that the Red Devils continue to be linked with a move for Napoli defender, Kim-Min Jae.
The South Korean has had a standout season with the Partenopei, where he starred in their journey to the Serie A title.
Maguire is unlikely to be used when United line up against their cross-town rivals, Manchester City in the FA Cup final on Saturday, June 3.
Maguire intends to stay
Sports Brief has also reported that Maguire has spoken about his frustrations at the club ahead of the summer transfer window.
