Ziyech, Aubameyang Post Cryptic Message After Underwhelming Season
- Chelsea will play the final game of a grossly underwhelming season tomorrow against Newcastle United
- The Blues have had four managers yet results did not improve and they will settle for a bottom-half finish
- The club is set for a mass exodus of players with Hakim Ziyech and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang among those who will depart
Chelsea is having a turbulent season on and off the pitch, and two players seem to be confirming the obvious with their social media activities.
The first season of the Todd Boehly-led consortium as owners gives no hope for the future as Chelsea are having their worst season in decades and will finish the season with their lowest points tally in the Premier League era.
Boehly and Co have invested in structure and talents at the club, but one thing they seem not to get right is their managerial appointment. Four managers have taken charge of at least a game this season.
According to Goal, the American billionaire admitted it was a mistake to sack Thomas Tuchel and replace him with Graham Potter, with Mauricio Pochettino set to take charge next season.
Chelsea stars post cryptic message
The team currently has a bloated squad with over 30 first-team players, making a mass clearout in the summer inevitable, with some already identified as leaving.
Four players had dinner last night - Hakim Ziyech, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Wesley Fofana and Denis Zakaria. Except for Fofana, the other two will leave the club this summer.
Ziyech uploaded the picture of the four on Instagram and captioned it, “Too much turbulence”. The post received comments from other Chelsea stars, including Reece James.
Auba uploaded the same photo on his Instagram and echoed Ziyech’s thoughts with the caption, “As he said, too much turbulence, Huuuuunnnnn”.
The Gabonese rejected a move to MLS side Los Angeles FC, as reported by Metro UK, while the Moroccan had a loan move to PSG collapse at the last minute after Chelsea sent the wrong papers, as reported by ESPN.

Ten Hag hints Ziyech’s reunion

Ten Hag did not disclose the meeting details with his former Ajax star but claimed a good player like him should play every game.
