Former Ghana midfielder, Michael Essien will participate in the charity game between Chelsea legends and Bayern Munich stars later this year.
The game, which will be played at Stamford Bridge on September 9, will see proceeds from ticket sales donated to the foundations of both clubs.
Some of the proceeds will also go to the Royal Mardsen, a cancer treatment centre, in tribute to Chelsea legend, Gianluca Viali, who passed on late in 2022.
"Chelsea FC Legends of Europe will see Chelsea take on Bayern Munich at Stamford Bridge! Tickets are on sale now with proceeds going to the clubs’ foundations and the Royal Mardsen in tribute to Gianluca Vialli," the Ghanaian shared on Twitter.

Essien spent nine years at Chelsea, winning several trophies, including the 2012 UEFA Champions League.
These days, the former Black Stars midfielder works as an assistant manager at Danish outfit, FC Nordsajaelland as he gradually carves his path in football coaching.
Before retiring, Essien also played for AC Milan, Real Madrid, and Panathinaikos. He also had a brief stint in Azerbaijan with Sabail before playing for Indonesian club, Persib Bandung.

Essien acquires coaching licence
Former Ghana and Chelsea midfielder, Michael Essien's journey to becoming a coach took a huge step after acquiring his license.
The 40-year-old secured his UEFA A and UEFA Elite Youth A coaching license from the Welsh Football Association.
Essien, who works as assistant manager at Danish club FC Nordsjaelland, shared his excitement after completing the courses.
