Vidic opens up on Drogba slap

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Former Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic has finally opened up on the infamous slap from Chelsea striker Didier Drogba during the 2008 UEFA Champions League final.

The Ivorian striker was sent off in the second half of extra-time after brushing the face of the defender following a heated clash between players from both sides.

Manchester United went on to win the competition on penalties after a 1-1 draw in 120 minutes.

Drogba blasts Chelsea owners

Didier Drogba has launched a scathing attack on the current Chelsea ownership as the Blues endure a miserable season. Chelsea were knocked out of the Champions League on Tuesday night by Real Madrid with an aggregate scoreline of 4-0.

The exit saw Chelsea's last shot at silverware and redemption this season go out through the window as well. They are currently languishing in 11th position, with any form of European football next season a far cry at moment.

Drogba has now waded into the discussion, seemingly taking issue with the Todd Boehly owned club. Boehly led the Clearlake consortium in acquiring the West London club last summer following the decision of Roman Abramovich to sell.
