'No excuses' for Man Utd despite injury woes: Ten Hag
FootballDStv Premiership: Kaizer Chiefs Looks to Shake Off Defeat by Worsening Chippa United's Season
- Kaizer Chiefs will look to end off the season as strongly as possible after what has been a season of inconsistency
- The Amakhosi's hopes of finishing runners-up were dealt a blow last weekend after they were turned over by Sekhukhune United
- Standing in their way will be relegation candidates Chippa United, who have no choice but to win, or else they'll be campaigning in the National First Division next season
Kaizer Chiefs saw their top-two challenge fade further away with a 1-0 defeat to Sekhukhune United in Polokwane last Sunday.
The Amakhosi had put themselves in the running for CAF Champions League football next season after a good recent run up until the costly loss against Babina Noko. They will get the opportunity to realign in a match against relegation candidates Maritzburg United.
Coach Arthur Zwane believes there is still hope for Chiefs as the pressure is on for teams at both ends of the table as they jostle to finish in the top eight or avoid relegation, meaning Orlando Pirates (third) and SuperSport United (second) could still drop points.
He said to SuperSport ahead of the match this Sunday (3pm):

"I'm one person who doesn't give up too easily. This is football, and anything can happen at any given time," he said. "We dropped points and, yes, I'm disappointed and I know we could have done better (against Sekhukhune). It's one of those things where you never know what's going to happen, because everyone's fighting to be in the top eight or avoid relegation, and we're also fighting to be in a better position. There are no easy games at this time of the season."
Chilli Boys defender, Matome Mathiane, on the other hand, said about new coach Lehlohonolo Seema:
"Coach Seema has not changed anything as far as how we train is concerned, but we feel that new energy. Everyone is excited and raring to go. He's been telling us that we can do it and we also believe that we can do it. I think it will also help that he was here before. He knows most of the players here. He's calm about the situation we are in and we are also buying into his calmness because he knows what he's doing."

Amakhosi red cards broken down
Since the start of the Premier Soccer League in 1996, no team has had as many of its opponents sent off in a season as Kaizer Chiefs in the current campaign.
No less than nine players have been red carded while trying to keep the Amakhosi at bay.
Sports Brief broke each and every one of these sending offs down.
