Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo has finally opened up on the main reason that made him to leave Manchester United claiming that he was not fairly treated by manager Ole Solskjaer.
Ighalo's move to Manchester United was celebrated by fans because of him being the first Nigerian to be signed by the Old Trafford landlords.
But the former Watford striker was able to spend only one season at his dream club due to lack of active playing time under manager Ole Solskjaer.
Manchester United actually signed Odion Ighalo when Marcus Rashford was injured and Anthony Martial was not in good form.
He proved himself as one of the best African strikers by scoring for Manchester United most especially in the Europa League.
According to the report on Complete Sports, Odion Ighalo explained that he is still grateful for the chance to he got to wear Manchester United shirt.
“I’m so happy that my path crossed with Manchester United – it’s the club I love with all my heart and for all my life so playing for them was a big privilege that I do not take for granted.
“After my initial loan was extended, I did not play much which was perhaps a bit unfair but as I said, I am always grateful for the opportunity.”
Meanwhile, Odion Ighalo has so far played five games for Al Shabab and has scored three goals.
