Moroccan Players, Coach Praised After Win Over Brazil in International Friendly

Players and coaching crew of the Moroccan national team have been praised by fans following their incredible win over Brazil on Saturday night, March 25, in an international friendly tie.

The Atlas Lions playing in front of their home fans were boosted with supports before the start of the encounter, and they did not disappoint as they finished the match with good result.

Morocco started the game impressively against the Brazilian and waited for 29 minutes before netting their first goal through Sofiane Boufal.

Brazil came back in second half

The Brazilians players came out smoking in the second half with Casemiro restoring parity form them, but Sabiri's 79th minute goal gave the Africans their first ever win over Brazil.

Former Super Eagles goalie Peter Rufai expressed happiness over Morocco's win over Brazil while speaking with Sports Brief.

''It was so nice to see Morocco beating Brazil and this is to tell the world that African teams are gradually soaring and will conquer the universe.''

Sports Brief also spoke with experienced Nigerian coach John Obuh who claimed that the win did not come as a surprise to him.

''Morocco's win over Brazil has proven to the world once again that their superb display at the World Cup was not a fluke and I want to enjoin them to continue making Africans proud.''

Morocco get heroic welcome

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Morocco national football team was accorded a heroic welcome after jetting back home from the 2022 World Cup.

The North Africans enjoyed a successful campaign during the global football showpiece as they became the first team in history from the continent to reach the semis.

Morocco made it to the semis after facing off against some of the best teams in the world, including Belgium, Croatia, and Portugal.

The Atlas Lions finished top of Group G with seven points, with their impressive finish helping them set up a crunch meeting with Spain in the round of 16.
