Lionel Messi’s future has been up for debate for the last few months, with the Argentine superstar reportedly yet to pen a new contract with Paris Saint-Germain despite only months left on his current deal.
Barcelona has been pushing for a reunion with the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner, who left the club in heartbreaking circumstances in 2021 after 17 seasons at Camp Nou.
According to the Daily Mirror, ex-Manchester City striker, Sergio Aguero has now revealed there is a solid chance Messi will return to Barcelona to finish his career with the Catalan club.
“I think Leo Messi should retire at Barca. Barcelona is his home and he should finish his career there. My feeling is that there is a 50% chance that he will return.”

PSG are still hoping to convince the veteran to renew his contract at the club beyond 2023 while Saudi Arabia top club, Al-Hilal and MLS side, Inter Miami have also indicated their interest in signing the World Cup winner.

Meanwhile, Messi reportedly wants a portion of the income Barcelona would get for the tribute being prepared for him - if he is to return to Camp Nou, Daily Post reports.
