Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has played down move linking him with Premier League clubs claiming that it is so disrespectful to Napoli for him to talk about transfers.

The Super Eagles star made this known while answering questions in Lagos in which a fan asked him to choose between Manchester United and Manchester City.

For some weeks now, Osimhen has been linked with Manchester United with many fans urging the Nigerian to make a move to Old Trafford.

This is because of his amazing performances so far this term for Napoli where he has scored 21 goals and topping the Serie A standings.

According to the video spotted on Twitter, Osimhen explained that he won't be able to talk again on transfer because he has to respect Napoli.

''I want to appreciate the person who asked the question, but I don't want to talk about transfers because it will be so disrespectful to my current club.''

Meanwhile, Osimhen is expected to lead the attack for the Super Eagles in their coming double header against Guinea Bissau.

Okocha wants Osimhen in EPL

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Super Eagles legend, Jay-Jay Okocha showered encomiums on Victor Osimhen, saying he has been impressed with the Nigerian striker's performances this season.

Osimhen is already set to etch his name into the football history books, judging by his brilliant form for Napoli, where he is currently topping the Serie A scoring table with 21 goals this term.

His brilliance in front of the goal has made him a target of many clubs in Europe, who are reportedly preparing to table offers to the Italian club in the summer.

Thanks in part to their lethal striker, Napoli have established a 19-point lead on the Serie A table and are in good position to life the title.

Okocha stated emphatically that Osimhen has shown he has the qualities to excel in the Premier League.

The former Bolton Wanderers midfielder added he would love to see his compatriot feature in the English league for Manchester United or even Manchester City.
