Lionel Messi’s future at Paris Saint-Germain still remains uncertain with the Argentine’s current deal set to expire at the end of the season.

Barcelona has offered the 35-year-old forward a chance to return to Camp Nou where he spent 17 years while Saudi Arabian top club, Al-Hilal has offered Messi the biggest contract in football to tempt him to move to the Middle East.

PSG makes U-turn on Messi

Meanwhile, PSG are no longer certain about tying Messi down to a new deal when the Argentine’s current deal expires in the summer, Daily Mirror reports.

The French club had thought about extending the deal of the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner beyond the summer and had initially reached a verbal agreement to extend his current contract.

However, PSG are now unsure whether they want to keep Messi at the end of the season and it is believed some at the club are considering a 'change in direction' and feel letting the World Cup winner go is the fans' preferred option.

Fans blasted over Messi disrespect

Sports Brief also reported on Sergi Roberto blasting PSG fans for whistling at Messi, while subtly urging the Argentine to reconsider his future at the club.

The Barcelona midfielder was concerned about the hostile treatment meted out to the star by the PSG fanbase during Sunday's Ligue 1 clash with Rennes.

Messi and his PSG teammates stumbled to an unexpected two-nil defeat at Parc des Princes, which fuelled jeers towards the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner.
