Sadio Mane's strong belief in his Islamic faith has always brought people close to him and even his teammates.

During Bayern Munich's trip to Leverkusen for their week 25 Bundesliga clash, the Senegalese forward was spotted reading the Holy Quran.

Mane is a devoted Muslim and has earned the respect of many of similar faith for how he conducts himself.

With the Islamic month of Ramadan very fast approaching, Mane is expected to join all Muslims around the world to observe 30 days of fasting.

The Africa Player of the Year joined Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window from English giants Liverpool.

Mane has been a key member of Bayern Munich this season, despite being out for almost four months with an injury that ruled him out of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

His return is a major boost for the Germans, who have been paired with Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League quarter-final.

The Senegalese forward is expected to start when Bayern face Leverkusen on Sunday.

Mane wins top Senegalese award

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Bayern Munich winger, Sadio Mane has been voted the best Senegalese player abroad for the seventh time.

The former Liverpool star reclaimed the Jules Francois Bocande trophy after losing it to Chelsea goalkeeper, Edouard Mendy in 2021.

The 30-year-old attacker beat Mendy's Chelsea teammate, Kalidou Koulibaly and Boulaye Dia to win the coveted trophy.

Mane places 6th at FIFA Awards

The 2022 FIFA The Best player awards in France on February 27 ended with arguably the greatest player of all-time, Lionel Messi winning the top prize.

Three African players were included in a list of the world's 15 best footballers, including Senegal star, Sadio Mane.

He placed sixth, the highest by an African player at the 2022 awards ceremony despite missing the World Cup in Qatar.
