  • The Portuguese star also claimed the Goal of the Week and featured in the Team of the Week
  • His eternal rival, Lionel Messi was crowned best men's player at the 2022 FIFA The Best Awards

Al-Nassr forward, Cristiano Ronaldo has been crowned the Player of the Month in the Saudi Pro League following impressive performances in February.

The former Manchester United and Real Madrid ace scooped the prize after notching eight goals, including a super hat-trick and two assists in the month under review.

Ronaldo endured a rough start to life in his opening two matches in the Saudi top flight but dashed out of the blocks in his first month with Al-Nassr.

This is the football superstar's first individual prize since swapping Europe for the Middle East following his unceremonious exit from Old Trafford.

He would hope his latest prize will open the floodgates for many awards as he seeks to help Al-Nassr secure a first league crown since the 2018-2019 season.

Sir Alex Ferguson hails Ronaldo

Meanwhile, legendary Man United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson shared his honest thoughts on Ronaldo's move to Al-Nassr in the winter transfer window.

The Portuguese star began the 2022-23 season on the books of the Red Devils but saw his fairy tale return to his old stomping grounds reach a dismal end.

Assessing the performance of his 'football son', Sir Alex expressed joy at Ronaldo's performances and lauded what he brought to the table at Al-Nassr.
