A Malian lower tier side, Espérance Sportive de Gao have gone viral on social media, after photos of the vehicles their team were travelling in for a Cup match was posted online.

The players and some members of the technical team were seen congested in rickety cars ahead of their trip for an away game.

Espérance Sportive de Gao were travelling to nearby town Bourem to honour a Cup match.

The Bareas defeated Niger 1-0 in the third and fourth place play-off to win bronze at the African Nations Championship, their first-ever medal at a football tournament.

Madagascar was one of the most exciting teams at the competition in Algeria, finishing their group with a hundred percent record after beating Ghana and Sudan.
