Atsu joins Turkish club

Christian Atsu has joined Turkish Super Lig club Hatayspor in the transfer window after leaving Saudi Arabian club Al Raed.

The 30-year-old signed a one-year deal with an option for a further year as he begins a new adventure in Turkey.

Hatayspor confirmed the arrival of the ex-Chelsea player on their official website after completing all paper works with the winger.

Atsu speaks on Chelsea move

Christian Atsu has described the decision to join Chelsea in 2013 as the best ever he made in an ill-fated spell with the Blues, Sports Brief earlier reported.

The 30-year-old caught the attention of Chelsea when he was playing for FC Porto in Portugal, where he displayed enormous talent.

However, his time at the London club was overshadowed by a series of loan spells before eventually joining Newcastle United in 2017.
