The Italian coach room over the reigns of the Spanish club just seven months ago.

However, Valencia released a statement earlier today in which they announced that they decided by mutual agreement to end his contract at the club.

"The club wish to thank Gattuso for his commitment and work during his time in charge and wish him the best of luck for the future," the statement read.

Valencia's poor form

As noted by The Washington Post, Valencia are now just one point above the relegation zone in La Liga, following their 1-0 loss against Real Valladolid. under Gattuso they picked up just one win in the last ten games and only managed one clean sheet during that same time frame.

Gattuso's angry outburst

With results not going their way, Gattuso was always under pressure. Unfortunately for the Italian, that pressure boiled over and he took it out on the media.

Football Espana reported that the former coach angrily reacted to the presence of the media upon his arrival back in Valencia after the Valladolid defeat.

Gattuso was seen talking to fans at the airport once the team got back, but became incensed when he saw members of the media there. He twice pushed away the cameras as they attempted to record his interaction with supporters.

His angry outburst was one of his last actions as manager as the club opted to let him go following the loss.

Valencia confirmed that the team will train under former caretaker coach, Voro González, from Tuesday, January 31.

Ancelotti recalls problems with Gattuso

Sports Brief previously reported that Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti had personal issues with Gennaro Gattuso.

Ancelotti was in charge of AC Milan at the time, while Gattuso was a player at the club.

Ancelotti admitted that they had good moments together but also a lot of personal problems.

Gattuso quits after 23 days

Earlier Sports Brief reported that former Napoli manager, Gennaro Gattuso, quit his recent post after just 23 days.

Gattuso was the coach of Serie A side Fiorentina but was reportedly at loggerheads with the management of the club.

Gattuso was reportedly keen on bringing in players that the club couldn't afford, and was unhappy with the players they could bring in.
