Yekini's Super Eagles record

Osimhen has been tipped to break Rashidi Yekini's record in the Super Eagles, which saw the late striker netting 37 goals for the three-time African champions.

Victor on the other hand has featured in 22 games for Nigeria netting 15 goals. This means he needs 22 more goals to equal Yekini's record.

He is also expected to lead the attack for the Super Eagles when they resume action in the African Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Napoli Slap €140M on Osimhen

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Italian giants Napoli raised Osimhen’s transfer fee from €100million to €140million amid interests from English Premier League clubs Manchester United and Arsenal.

The Red Devils are desperately in search of another striker after terminating Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract last December.

Osimhen has been in blistering form in Italy, and he tops the Serie A goal charts with 12 goals so far this season, helping the Partenopei to set their sights on the league title.

Newcastle United are also interested in the 24-year-old ahead of the summer transfer window.

He has an existing contract with Napoli until 2025, but he is not planning to leave, until at least, the end of the season.
