The Black Stars of Ghana earned around $9.5-million for participating at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, according to Henry Asante Twum.
The West Africans finished bottom of Group H after exiting the tournament at the group stage.
Despite the disappointment, the country earned a whopping payout, which was beyond what was anticipated for that stage of the Mundial.
Communications Director of the FA, Asante Twum said the country's football association had benefitted from the tournament and was looking at putting the revenue to good use.

“Ghana earned $9.5-million at the group stage of the World Cup," he told Asempa FM, as quoted by GHANASoccernet.
The Black Stars started the World Cup with a 3-2 defeat to Portugal, before victory over South Korea. The team then succumbed to Uruguay in their final match, losing 2-0.
Meanwhile, Asante Twum has disclosed plans by the FA to build a hotel complex at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence.
“We want to turn Prampram into an edifice that can house all our national teams," he continued. “The plan now is to turn the Ghanaman Centre of Excellence at Prampram into at least a 3-star hotel with a 60 to 70 capacity."
Asante Twum said the idea was to raise the standard of the centre to be able to host national team matches as well.
“At this moment, we are in talks with government and lobbying for these projects. The number one priority is to make Prampram at least a three-star hotel so that it can house all our national teams."
