Football Star and His Girlfriend Arrested With 100kg of Illegal Drugs

A professional footballer and his girlfriend were reportedly arrested at the Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris, France at the weekend.
Jean-Manuel Nedra and his sweetheart were arrested having been found with 100 kilos of illegal drugs (c0caine) in suitcases.
The former Martinique international and current Aiglon du Lamentin player in their first division was reportedly placed in pre-trial custody on Sunday, January 1.
According to French outlet, Le Parisien the 29-year-old midfielder was presented to an investigating judge on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, local reports suggest his partner has been released under 'judicial supervision', per SportBIBLE.
"Without knowing his degree of involvement, we learned that one of our players was arrested at Roissy for drug smuggling," A statement from his club said as quoted by Daily Star.
"Let us be stronger than ever and united to continue our work of education through sport, to fight against this scourge, to protect and alert our young people to the risks, consequences and abuses of this environment."
The player is said to have been travelling in a 'personal capacity' when he and his wife were arrested.
Footballer arrested for drug trafficking
Officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have arrested former Nigerian footballer Okafor Emmanuel Junior at the Muritala Muhammad international airport in Lagos.
Okafor Emmanuel Junior who played for Nigerian League side Enugu Stars years back was said to have been arrested for alleged drug trafficking.
The former player was arrested at the International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos on his arrival from Sao Paulo, Brazil via Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on board an Ethiopian airlines flight.
Footballer sentenced to jail
Sports Brief earlier reported that Harare City player Jerry Chipangura will have the next 14 months to rethink his life choices.
The 24-year-old was sentenced to jail for being in possession of 40 grams of methylenedioxymethamphetamine, commonly known as MDMA or mutoriro.
According to The Herald, he had also been charged with the intention of selling the drug. He was arrested in the suburb of Mabvuku in Harare back in June of this year.
