Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly preparing to make a move for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen with the target of them luring the youngster away from Napoli.

The French champions have been investing in signing big players over the years with the hope of them landing the Champions League title.

But despite their efforts so far, PSG are yet to win the title even with the likes of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Mbappe last season.

Osimhen's superb scoring form

So far this season, Osimhen has been Napoli's goal scoring machine and PSG will have to convince the club with mega amount for them to release the Nigerian.

Napoli have attached a €100m price tag along with Osimhen, although it won’t be a headache for PSG’s eggheads.

Osimhen nominated for two awards

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen enjoyed a successful 2022 and now the forward is set to be rewarded at Italian club Napoli.

Napoli continue to dominate the Serie A this season, as they remain the only team yet to taste defeat in the Italian topflight so far.

Osimhen has been nominated for two important awards – the best club goal and the best club assist for the year 2022.

The Nigerian is one of the five nominees for the goal of 2022 alongside Giovanni Simeone, Piotr Zielinski, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Eljif Elmas.

He has been in sensational form in the last 12 months scoring 19 goals in all competitions, but his strike against AS Roma in October could bag him the prestigious prize.

With barely ten minutes left in that encounter, Osimhen received a looping ball from the middle, and outmuscled former Manchester United defender Chris Smalling, before firing a ferocious effort from a tight angle past Rui Patricio.
