Ronaldo given Chelsea green light

Meanwhile, Ronaldo is still looking for a new club following his release from Manchester United, and Chelsea has now been told to take a chance on the forward, Football London reports.

Former defender for the Blues, William Gallas has urged his former club to sign the veteran striker on a six-month deal as he continues to look for a new team.

Following Armando Broja's recent season-ending injury, the Londoners are hoping to add a central striker in January to bolster their attack.

Ronaldo tipped Argentina over France

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on ex-Manchester United star Ronaldo exiting the World Cup, after Portugal suffered elimination against Morocco in the quarter-finals.

That had not stopped the five-time Ballon d'Or winner from having an interest in who won this year's Mundial tournament.

Through social media, Ronaldo revealed who he would be backing to win the trophy and gave a good reason for his choice.
