Nasser Al Khelaifi who is the President of Paris Saint-Germain has stated emphatically that he cannot sign Portugal international Cristiano Ronaldo in the coming transfer window.

There will be transfer of players in January and Ronaldo is expected to make the move following his departure at Premier League giants Manchester United.

The former Real Madrid star had issues with those in charge at Old Trafford which forced him to make a statement condemning the coach and other staff.

Ronaldo made it clear in his interview that he does not rate Manchester United current coach Erik ten Hag.

Although Ronaldo is currently busy with Portugal at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, but the five-time Ballon d'Or winner has been linked with many clubs.

According to the update spotted on Twitter, Nasser Al Khelaifi explained that there is no need to sign Ronaldo because he has Messi, Mbappe and Neymar.

Statement made by Al Khelaifi

“Signing Ronaldo? The three players that we have Messi, Neymar and Mbappe it's very difficult to think about Ronaldo.
“I wish him all the best. He's fantastic and he's still an amazing player.''

Jaap Stam bluntly states

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how SuperSport cannot be faulted for acquiring knowledgeable and forthright pundits.

This was on show when former Netherlands, Manchester United and AC Milan defender, Jaap Stam gave his thoughts during a 2022 FIFA World Cup broadcast.

He did not hold back when discussing Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal's prospects in the tournament.

He said to Thomas Mlambo, ahead of a potential Round of 16 banana skin fixture against Switzerland, that he had a 'question mark' over Portugal.

Turning to Ronaldo, he stated the player had not performed and was not the same striker in recent years as he was in the past.

A resounding 70 per cent of Portugal fans want Ronaldo dropped for their clash against Switzerland on Tuesday night.

Ronaldo and his teammates will lock horns with Switzerland in a last 16 World Cup clash at the Lusail Stadium, with the winner facing either Morocco or Spain in the quarter-finals.
