Players of Morocco jammed through the night after their victory over Spain, in the last 16 of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

The North African nation became the fourth country from the continent to reach the quarter-finals after a penalty shootout victory over the Europeans.

Yassine Bounou was the hero of the night after saving two spot kicks, while Achraf Hakimi put the icing on the cake with a Panenka to send Morocco through.

In a video shared on social media, the players were spotted jamming to songs from Nigerian music stars Burna Boy and Rema.

The team, led by Sofiane Boufal, sung Last Last word-for-word as they partied through the night in celebration of their latest feat.

Morocco topped their group after collecting seven points from three games, becoming the second country from Africa to finish at the summit of their group since Nigeria in 1998.

The Atlas Lions will face 2016 European champions Portugal in the quarter-final on Saturday, December 10. The former African champions could become the first nation from Africa to reach the semi-final if they beat the Selecao.

Morocco pay respects to Nouri

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that players of Morocco celebrated victory over Spain at the World Cup , by paying tribute to Abdelhak Nouri.

The Atlas Lions beat the 2010 world champions on penalties to advance to the last eight of the tournament in Qatar.

After the match, the players took a moment during their celebrations to remember Dutch-born Moroccan player Nouri.

Hakimi delighted after Morocco win

Achraf Hakimi described Morocco's victory over Spain in the 2022 World Cup round of 16 as 'unbelievable'.

The Paris Saint-Germain right-back scored the winning penalty to send the North Africans into the last eight of the tournament in Qatar.

Hakimi took to social media to express his feelings, following the heroic performance from the Atlas Lions.
