A section of Arsenal fans have taken delight in Edouard Mendy's misery against England, in the round of 16 showdown on Sunday, December 4.
Mendy, who had a horrific outing in Senegal's group opener against the Netherlands, redeemed himself in his side's second and closing Group A games against Qatar and Ecuador respectively.
He was expected to show his prowess in between the sticks against England, but it proved yet another nightmarish outing for the Chelsea shot-stopper as he shipped in three goals.
Among England's three goals, one was scored by Bukayo Saka - who plays his club football for Arsenal in the Premier League - a London rival of Mendy's Chelsea.

This excited the Gunner's fan base, with many trolling the 30-year-old custodian by reminding him of the damage caused by Saka in the Premier League.

A section of fans have blamed Mendy for Senegal's World Cup defeat against the Netherlands.
The reigning African champions kicked off their World Cup campaign on a disappointing note, after they were silenced 2-0 in their Group A opener staged at the Al Thumama Stadium.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that England set up a titanic quarter-final against holders France, as Jude Bellingham's masterclass inspired a 3-0 win against Senegal in the last 16 on Sunday.
Gareth Southgate's side survived a nervous start at the Al Bayt Stadium, before Jordan Henderson and Harry Kane put Senegal to the sword with a pair of clinical finishes before half-time.
Bukayo Saka scored England's third, but it was Bellingham's prodigious work rate and burgeoning quality in possession that allowed them to turn the tide.
