Cristiano Ronaldo's initial thoughts

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Piers Morgan revealed what Cristiano Ronalo told him after his Manchester United contract was terminated.

Ronaldo is currently a free agent after he agreed to leave Manchester United on mutual consent following his incendiary interview with Morgan.

In the interview, Ronaldo attacked a number of elements at the club, including Head Coach Erik ten Hag.

He mentioned categorically that he did not respect the manager. The club responded swiftly and it was decided that the five-time Ballon d'Or winner had to leave. Morgan has revealed that he texted Ronaldo immediately after the news broke out.

The former Real Madrid striker released a statement after his sacking saying that it was the best decision for both parties.

Ronaldo is currently in Qatar with Portugal, where he will be gunning for World Cup glory. The Euro 2016 winners play Switzerland in the round of 16 after topping their group.
