He took time away from work to visit a local wildlife game reserve, saying on Twitter to nearly four million of his followers:

"South Africa, what an amazing place."

In the pictures shared were a giraffe, a pride of lions and a coalition of cheetahs. In one snap, he got up close and personal with a curious giraffe in an amusing selfie, with former Three Lions teammate Owen Hargreaves in the background. Hargreaves is also a fellow pundit with Owen while out in the country.

Last week, IOL reported that Owen was a special guest of SuperSport United, visiting Matsatsantsa's training headquarters to meet and greet the coaches, players and the staff.

There is an explanation for those who were stunned by a viral video showing a guest on air using foul language in describing Cristiano Ronaldo.

Tshepang Mollison described him in the most unsavoury of terms during what was believed to be a live broadcast, Sports Brief reported.

However, SuperSport has released a media statement which read:

"SuperSport is aware of a SuperPicks video circulating on social media. This was a rehearsal that was not meant for broadcast. Despite this, we unreservedly apologise for the language used."

Tshepang Mollison is not in anyone's good graces this morning.

The renowned influencer has caused ructions because of a video doing the rounds on social media, as was reported by Sports Brief. During a purported broadcast on SuperSport, she used an expletive in a discussion about Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

It later turned out that this was a rehearsal that was shared online.
