Kevin De Bruyne's earlier statement of the squad being too old rubbed some players the wrong way, with the Manchester City midfielder said to have clashed with Eden Hazard and Jan Vertonghen in the dressing room.
Awkward team meals
Kat has documented that the atmosphere was awkward after the game when they met at the Hilton Salwa Resort. She also added that the incident had been forgotten by morning.
"That was really awkward. The players were logically still very disappointed. But I thought it was strange to read that there are tensions within the group. The next morning, everyone said hello to each other with a kiss. They do all that. So I think they are all super sweet to each other," as quoted by Mirror.
Her husband has made one appearance off the bench in their loss to Morocco. He nowadays plies his professional trade with Turkish giants Galatasaray.
What happened in Belgium's squad?
Sports Brief has reported that new details are continuing to emerge over Belgium's uninspiring start to the 2022 FIFA World Cup campaign, as Roberto Martinez struggles to maintain the squad.
Martinez has admitted that there are some issues within the European's squad, as the Red Devils will bow out if they lose to Croatia.
His big stars have clashed in the dressing room and have also made controversial remarks to the media, and new findings indicates that stars do not speak to each other due to private reasons.
Courtois disagrees with De Bruyne
Sports Brief also reported that Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has expressed his disagreement with the claim by national teammate De Bruyne, that Belgium cannot win the World Cup because they are too old.
KDB's comments came shortly before the Red Devils were defeated 2-0 by the Atlas Lions - a result that leaves them needing results against Croatia if they want to progress.
The end of the road is near for Belgium's so-called golden generation, who have no silverware to show for almost four years as number one on the FIFA rankings.
