Asamoah Gyan went through a full cycle of emotions during Ghana's epic 3-2 victory over South Korea at the Education City Stadium on Monday, November 28.

Gyan, who is on punditry duties with South African-based pay-TV network SuperSport, sat on tenterhooks as he watched his country see off a keenly-contested tie with South Korea.

The former Ghana striker, who holds the record as the highest-scoring African at the World Cup, was emotionally drained after the Black Stars picked up its first win of the 2022 Mundial in Qatar.

Ghana pip South Korea

Mohammed Kudus scored twice as Ghana beat South Korea 3-2 in a pulsating World Cup encounter on Monday to keep their World Cup hopes alive and leave Paulo Bento's side facing an early exit.

Mohammed Salisu opened the scoring against the run of play midway through the first half at Education City Stadium and Ajax midfielder Kudus doubled the Black Stars' lead.

But the Asian side, who looked toothless in the first half, roared back after the break, pulling level through a quickfire double from forward Cho Gue-sung either side of the hour mark.

Asamoah Gyan trolls Nigeria

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Asamoah Gyan hilariously trolled Nigeria as he was presented with a birthday cake live on TV as he turned 37 on November 22, 2022.

The former Black Stars captain who will be missing the World Cup in Qatar is currently working with SuperSport TV as a resident expert.

Before the game between Argentina and Saudi Arabia on Wednesday, the striker received a cake with a photo of his famous celebration against the United States at the World Cup in South Africa.
