The former striker shared a video of himself training for American Ninja Warrior, a top reality show.

According to Wikipedia, the show originates from a Japanese show called Sasuke, where the competitors attempt to overcome a series of obstacles within a short period of time. The end goal is to complete all the courses and reach Mount Midoriyama.

Since its inception, only three people, Geoff Britten, Drew Dreschel and Isaac Caldiero have been able to finish the whole course and achieve what is known as Total Victory. The show is currently on its 14th season.

Akinfenwa didn't divulge details on whether he will be interested in taking part in the game but instead wrote a cheeky caption:

"Looking at the future ninja warrior #ThatShitWasHard."

Akinfenwa switches to wrestling

Sports Brief had earlier reported that Adebayo Akinfenwa is set to make his professional debut in wrestling after retiring from football last season.

Akinfenwa left football, having made a name for himself as the strongest man in his game due to his bulky nature. He played as a striker for many clubs and his last bow came at Wycombe Wanderers, where they lost the League One Play-Off match against Sunderland. Akinfenwa is set to make his debut on October 23rd when he joins British wrestler Anthony Ogogo for his fight against Mailk.

The 40-year-old striker built a name for himself with his charming interviews and personality. He is most famously remembered for the interview he did after securing championship football for the first time in 2020.
