This season's Champions League group stage matches are entering their penultimate stage with just one round of fixtures left.

Twelve teams have already booked their spots in the Round 16 of the Champions League, with four more facing an anxious wait ahead of the final round.

Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, and Bayern Munich headline the long list of teams set to participate in the last 16.

Inter Milan, Liverpool and Porto are the other teams who qualified for the next round on Wednesday in a dramatic night that saw Barcelona and Atletico Madrid drop to the Europa League.

Which teams have qualified for UCL last 16?

In Group A, Liverpool and Napoli have progressed to the next round, with Ajax and Rangers getting eliminated.

Club Brugge and Porto will be repping Group B in the knockout phase, with Inter Milan and Bayern Munich joining them from Group C.

In Group D, all the four teams will have to play the final round of fixtures to determine who qualifies.

Tottenham need just a draw in their last match against Marseille to qualify, while a point will also be enough for Sporting Lisbon to sail through should they hold Eintracht Frankfurt next week.

Porto celebrate UCL qualification

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Porto players erupted into wild celebration in a plane after learning they had qualified for the last 16 of the Champions League.

They join their domestic counterparts Benfica in the knockout stages of Europe’s elite football competition.

Porto's game ended in a 4-0 win over Club Brugge, but they still needed Atletico Madrid to drop points.
